April 1996 - Gregor forms PENDRAGON - several line up-changes with final line up: Michael "Kojote" Niebauer (v), Gregor "Gore" Marboe (g, v), Oliver "Gargamel" Schlögl (g), Peter "Paradoxx" Kelman (dr), Alex "Axe LX" Burger (b). The sound of the band can bew defined as the clear predecessor of what DEFENDER KFS does now. Thrash influnced but yet melodic (Death) Metal long before Melodic Death Metal or nowadays Metalcore has been popular.
September 1997 - release of "Long Live The Dead"-Demo CD and first concert.

February to june 1998 - PENDRAGON do some successful shows together with local bands ENDLESS FALLING, MORITURUS, FREUND HEIN, PARENTAL ADVISORY and others.
Summer 1998 - Oliver joins Melodic Black Metal-band CRYOSPHERE with former SEEDS OF SORROW-guitarist Markus Schlögl. Later on that year Alex also joins the band.
July 1998 - Gregor forms DEFENDER KFS together with second guitarist Andy Hammer as a primarily Rock/classical Heavy Metal-oriented band. During the upcoming winter a bigpart of the songs for the debut album and some yet unreleased ones are written. PENDRAGON loses focus, but songs "MDBC" and "Sirens Of Death" are written as PENDRAGON-songs.

March 1999 - DEFENDER KFS-Rehearsals with Oliver Schlögl (Ex-PENDRAGON, Ex-CRYOSPHERE) on bass and Rene Binder (Ex-PARENTAL ADVISORY) on drums.
April 1999 - Patrick Tamerus (v), Thomas ? (dr) and Hatemachine (b) join forces to complete the band. Most of the material for "The Command" is already written apart from "Literary Pandemonium".
June 11th 1999 - first DEFENDER KFS-gig.
September 1999 - First shows and first attempts to record a new Demo CD.
October 1999 - Thomas gets fired due to personal reasons and Niko "Beisser" Scharf enters the band.
November 1999 - After discussions about the future of the band Patrick leaves the band and former PENDRAGON-vocalist Michael Niebauer joins the band on vocals for some rehearsals. As he isn´t able to perform at WINTER WAR-festival in late November, Gregor does guitars and vocals.

March 2000 - Harald hailing from Vienna-based Death/Black Metal-band JORMUNDGAND enters the band as a new permanent singer.
April 2000 - Founding member Andy Hammer leaves the band due to musical differences. The Band decides to go back into a heavier direction in the way of PENDRAGON already being actually nothing else - the brainchild of guitarist Gregor. Hatemachine takes over the guitar for a short time and then also decides to call it quits.
April & May 2000 - Focus on recording the debut album "The Command".
August 2000 - Former PENDRAGON-bassist/CRYOSPHERE-vocalist Alex enters the band on the bass and the band continues as a fourpiece.
September 2000 - "The Command" is released and achieves good reviews from the press.
October 2000 - Bernhard being a band mate of Harald in JORMUNDGAND joins the band as a live-guitarist and finally decides to become a final member.

July 2001 - Drummer Beisser and Bassist Alex leave the band after HELL ON EARTH-Festival. Beisser leaves because of lack of time and later on joins the Viennese Death Metal-band PARENTAL ADVISORY, Alex wants to focus on studies and other musical activities.
Summer 2001 - The rest of the band takes a break of musical activies and in late summer Gregor and Bernhard compile the first ideas for songs of a new era - first ideas for "Soulmachine" are written.
Autumn 2001 - Various drummers are auditioned.
October 2001 - Bassist Alex Jilg (now ADRENALINE KINGS) and drummer Robert Jilg join the band, but after three months separate again mainly due to musical differences.

April 2002 - Former PENDRAGON-drummer Peter joins the band and the band concentrates on new material and getting ready again to perform live.

February 2003 - First live show since one and a half years is done. As still no permanent bassplayer has been found Alex helps the band out once more.
May 2003 - Bassist Rainer Schmidt joins the band. Concerts with SIX FEET UNDER, at the first edition of Kaltenbach Open Air (with DISBELIEF, ENTHRONED, BELPHEGOR, etc.) and at Metalfest Vienna (with IN FLAMES, BLIND GUARDIAN, PARADISE LOST, SAXON, etc.) and intense songwriting follow.

January 2004 - "Promo 2004" is recorded as a pre-production for the second album.
Summer 2004 - The band again loses the bassplayer as Rainer decides to go into other musical directions.

Spring 2005 - Some concerts are played with bassist Rainer returning surprisingly for some months. But as fast as him being back he quits again.
